A good photograph tells the eye where to look. Focus and light are its two main tools.
It is difficult to concentrate on something that is out of focus.Likewise, when a photograph has a prominent bright portion, it is difficult to focus on the shadow. However, when the focus falls in the shadow, things can get confusing. And when the subject of the photograph becomes light or shadow or focus or blur, the body becomes lost in the conversation.
